Dr. V Arun is the Chief : Intervention Pain management services at People Tree Hospitals. Dr. Arun began his medical career by completing his Undergraduate Medical Training at JIPMER, Pondicherry. He followed this with Postgraduation in Anaesthesiology at JIPMER Pondicherry and Specialist Training in Anaesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Addenbrooke's hospitals in Cambridge, UK and NNUH Norwich UK.
He has been working as a specialist in Chronic Pain for the last 10 years, initially in the NHS, UK before returning to India and setting up a pain clinic here. He started the Pain Clinic at Max Hospitals, New Delhi where he was the lead in pain services before joining BGS Global Hospitals Bangalore. At BGS Global hospitals, he was incharge of the pain clinic and also the lead for Transplant Anaesthesia. Now at People Tree Hospitals he is Chief : Interventional Pain Management and also of Anaesthesia services.
Dr. Arun has extensive experience in managing patients with chronic pain, especially patients who have had previous spine surgeries and are left with persistent back and leg pain. His pain clinic also manages patients with chronic headaches, musculoskeletal pain, arthritic pain and cancer pain. He specialises in Minimally Invasive Interventional Pain Management where patients are treated with non surgical interventions. There is also a multidisciplinary approach in the pain clinic with inputs from Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeons, Physiotherapists and Yoga Instructors
