Order appropriate investigations
Order appropriate referrals
Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients
Interpret laboratory and radiology results
Order appropriate medications and other supportive treatment
Order transfusion of blood and blood products
Prepare an appropriate discharge summary
Supervise & maintenance of clinical records
Prepares manuscripts/PowerPoint presentations for routine academic discussions.
Attending and participating in various CMEs e.g. Monthly Chest meets in Bengaluru/quiz/ Case presentations.
Attending & presenting cases in weekly ILD, CTEPH & Lung transplant meetings. Decide on use of antibiotic in patient
Decide on use of other scheduled drugs in a patient
Supervises & performance of bedside procedures( e.g. Lung ultrasound)
Conduct academic programmes
Runs Out patient department
Take rounds in ICU and ward
Counseling of all ICU/Ward patients daily
Scoring & Interpretation of Sleep studies
Interpretation of PFT, CPET,2Decho,Xray,CT , PET scan, ECG etc
Give fitness for proposed surgery and sickness certificate post discharge Perform Bedside procedures such as nasogastric tube placements, intercostal tube placements, abdominal drain placements, urinary catheterization and insertion of central lines, arterial lines & elective intubation.
To attend CODE BLUE and perform BLS/ACLS in ward/ICU patients Assist minor surgical procedures in OT- Thoracoscopy, Stenting & Ballooning airway.
Perform Bronchoscopy -BAL, Biopsies & EBUS- TBNA in Bronchoscopy suite/ICU
